Earthquake Disaster Response and Assistance Program

Myanmar Business Executives Association (MBE) has been implementing Earthquake Diaster Response and Assistance Program for the areas affected by 7.7 magnitude “Mandalay Earthquake” that occurred on March 28, 2025, and subsequent disasters.
The MBE Association established a relief fund of 10 millions MMK. Together with contributions from MBE Members, Donors, Friends, and Partner Organizations, a total of 31,230,000 MMK in cash donations has been collected to date. Additionally, with in-kind support and collaboration from MBE members and partner organizations, earthquake relief activities have been carried out in the earthquake-affected areas of Mandalay, Pyinmana/Naypyitaw, Sagaing, and Amarapura.
As part of MBE Association’s Relief Activities, the following items have been provided:
– 60 Temporary Tents (sizes 15’x10’ and 10’x10’)
– 5 Flexi Water Tanks with a capacity of 38,000 liters
– 1 Life Straw Max water purifier machine
– 500 bottles of 5-liter purified drinking water
– 200 bottles of 10-liter Alpine purified drinking water
– 3,360 bottles of 0.6-liter Alpine purified drinking water
– 484 units of 20-liter empty water containers
– 200 units of double- bedded ordinary mosquito nets
– 106 units of double- bedded framed mosquito nets
– 3,000 Water Purification Tablets
– 2,000 packets of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS)
– 600 pairs of Surgical Gloves
– 20 boxes of Powdered Exam Gloves (disposable rubber gloves)
– 50 rolls of Elastic Bandages
– 590 Dead Body Bags
– 1 Demolition Hammer
– 100 gallons of diesel fuel for digging & reconditioning cube wells
– Household Packs for 500 households, including instant noodles, fish paste, fried dry prawn, biscuits, etc.
These items have been distributed and donated through MBE Local Focal Point Task Forces to earthquake-affected communities in Mandalay, Pyinmana/Naypyitaw, Sagaing, and Amarapura, as well as to Mandalay General Hospital and Sagaing General Hospital.
Additionally, 500 boxes of shrimp paste, among other necessary support items, will continue to be distributed and donated.
To facilitate blood donation by MBE Members, the MBE Association has coordinated with the National Blood Bank. MBE members also participated in and donated blood at the “Unilever Myanmar and Friends Blood Donation Event.”
We have made many efforts and attempts, including the establishment of a Temporary Shelter with a capacity for 180 earthquake-affected individuals and engagement with various organizations for further support; however, these attempts have not materialized as intended so far.
Virtual and in-person meetings and engagements have been conducted with international donor organizations to support both relief efforts and earthquake response and assistance activities in the earthquake affected areas.
Since the start of Earthquake Relief Activities on March 29, 2025, the MBE Association has successfully provided on-the-ground support and donations worth over 80 millions MMK.
We express our heartfelt gratitude, recognition, and pride to all MBE Executive Committee Members, Advisory Board Members, MBE Members, and Stakeholders who have contributed and continue to participate in these efforts.
Moving forward, the MBE Association will undertake Earthquake Rehabilitation Activities with the support of International and Domestic Alliance Partners, as well as the collaboration and contributions of MBE members. We respectfully urge all stakeholders to continue supporting and participating in these efforts.

MBE အသင်းဝင်များ စုစည်း သွေးလှူဒါန်းမှု ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရန် MBE အသင်းအနေဖြင့် သွေးလှူဘဏ် တာဝန်ခံ ဆရာဝန်ကြီးနှင့် ချိတ်ဆက်ထားခဲ့ပြီး “Unilever Myanmar နှင့် မိတ်‌‌ဆွေများ စုပေါင်း သွေးလှူဒါန်းပွဲ” တွင်လည်း MBE အသင်းဝင်များ ပါဝင်လှူဒါန်းခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
ကြိုးပမ်းခဲ့မှုများ အနေဖြင့်လည်း ငလျင်ဒဏ်သင့် ပြည်သူ (၁၈၀) ဦးအတွက် ယာယီ နေထိုင်နိုင်မည့် Temporary Shelter ထူထောင်နိုင်ရေး ကြိုးပမ်းခဲ့မှုအပါအဝင် ကူညီပံ့ပိုးမှုများအတွက်ကိုလည်း အဖွဲ့အစည်း အသီးသီးနှင့် ကြိုးစား ချိတ်ဆက်မှုများ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
International Donor အဖွဲ့အစည်းများနှင့်လည်း Virtual & Physical Meeting များ၊ ချိတ်ဆက်မှုများ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့/ ပြုလုပ်လျက်ရှိပြီး ငလျင်ဒဏ်သင့် ပြည်သူများအတွက် ငလျင်‌ဘေးအန္တရာယ် တုန့်ပြန်ကူညီရေး အထောက်အပံ့‌‌ကောင်းများ ရရှိနိုင်ရေး ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။
သို့ဖြစ်ရာ MBE အသင်းအနေဖြင့် Earthquake Relief Activities များ စတင်ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သည့် (၂၉.၃.၂၀၂၅) ရက်နေ့မှ ယနေ့အထိ စုစုပေါင်း ကျပ်သိန်း (၈၀၀) ကျော်တန်ဖိုးရှိ မြေပြင် ပံ့ပိုးကူညီ လှူဒါန်းမှုများ ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ခဲ့ပြီး ယနေ့အထိ လုပ်ငန်းစဉ်အသီးသီး၌ ပံ့ပိုး ပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့/ လျက်ရှိသည့် MBE အလုပ်အမှုဆောင် အဖွဲ့ဝင်များ၊ အသင်းအကြံပေး အဖွဲ့ဝင်များ၊ MBE အသင်းဝင်များ နှင့် Stakeholders များ အားလုံးကို များစွာ ကျေးဇူးတင် အသိအမှတ်ပြု ဂုဏ်ယူရပါသည်။
လက်ရှိကာလတွင် MBE အသင်းက စတင် ဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည့် Earthquake Rehabilitation Activities များကို International Alliance Partner များ၊ Domestic Partner များ၏ ပံ့ပိုးမှုများနှင့်အတူ MBE အသင်းဝင်များ၏ ချိတ်ဆက် ပံ့ပိုး ပူးပေါင်းပါဝင်မှုများ ရယူဆောင်ရွက်‌သွားမည် ဖြစ်ရာ သက်ဆိုင်သူ Stakeholders များအားလုံးက ပံ့ပိုးပါဝင် ကူညီဆောင်ရွက်ပေးပါရန် လေးစားစွာ တိုက်တွန်း နှိုးဆော်လိုက်ရပါသည်။
