Since 2008, MBE has undertaken various livelihood and capacity development initiatives to help improve living conditions, mobilize and foster community dialogue around key issues as well as developing skills and capacity to strengthen these communities.
Current Projects
– Capacity development program in the Delta region on a variety of topics:
Democracy and human rights, SME development, building trust in communities and organizations, fighting forced labour and human trafficking, good governance, disaster risk retention, rural development
– Microfinance and livelihood program in Delta and Yangon regions
Working with farmers, fishermen, retailers, through a self help group system to increase their revenue while providing training and guidance on how to improve their business
– Accessibility to school program in the Delta
Improving infrastructure for bringing kids to school
-Modern village program in the Delta
Improving infrastructure for more resilient villages and better living conditions
